Necronomicon est un groupe Allemand de Thrash Metal fondé en 1983 à Lörrach, Bade-Wurtemberg. Le groupe doit son nom à l'ouvrage fictif inventé par l'écrivain américain H. P. Lovecraft. Ils enregistrent leur premier album éponyme en 1986. Suivront Apocalyptic Nightmare en 1987 Escalation en 1988 et Screams en 1994. Apres une pause de dix ans, ils reviennent avec Construction of Evil en 2004.
